THE PERSONAL ONE
At the age of 31, I found myself unexpectedly organising my Dad’s funeral and wake. This has given me first-hand experience working with Funeral Directors and Celebrants to create a modern funeral.
Using my skills in marketing and event management, I was able to design an event that he would have been proud of, including things like:
A modern order of service, which brought to life all of the things that he loved and enjoyed doing
A bespoke menu which celebrated his favourite food - “Big Al’s Sliders & Fats” (mini burgers and chips)
Personal memory gifts for guests - takeaway “Grow Your Own Potato” gift bags, so everyone could grow their own potatoes in his memory (one of his favourite things to do)
